Is it better to film vertical or horizontal?
The horizontal format is far superior to vertical when showing most things in daily life. For instance, scenes that have more than one person involved, or those that include dynamics and motion, are never vertical. They also can't be as effective as they are in a horizontal video.
When to Use Horizontal Video
Horizontal video is going to benefit you on certain platforms, including Twitter (where vertical isn’t an option) and on YouTube, where users are willing to hunker down and watch more long-form videos, and right here on Fitfabandwelltube or YourTownTube where viewers my use their TV to watch your video or iPad.
In the debate of vertical video vs. horizontal video, it really isn’t a “which should I use” as much as some people believe. A better question to ask is “which should I use when?” Vertical video has become increasingly prevalent with the extreme popularity of mobile usage, but it’s still a good call to incorporate horizontal and square video into your overall campaigns for certain content. This isn’t a bad thing; diversity in your content is important because brands need massive amounts of content for both organic and video campaigns, so using a variety of content optimized for each individual platform is the way to go.

Hey you! Did you know that you’re very special? There is no other person in this world like you. You deserve to be loved not only by those around you but by the most important person in your life — YOU. Practicing self-love can be challenging for many of us, especially in times when we face serious challenges. It’s not about being self-absorbed or narcissistic, it’s about getting in touch with ourselves, our well-being and our happiness. We practice self-love so we can push through our limiting beliefs and live a life that truly shines.
So do yourself a favor, take a deep breath, give yourself a little hug and start practicing the following:
1. Start each day by telling yourself something really positive. How well you handled a situation, how lovely you look today. Anything that will make you smile.
2. Fill your body with food and drink that nourishes it and makes it thrive.
3. Move that gorgeous body of yours every single day and learn to love the skin you’re in. You can’t hate your way into loving yourself.
4. Don’t believe everything you think. There is an inner critic inside of us trying to keep us small and safe. The downside is this also stops us from living a full life.
5. Surround yourself with people who love and encourage you. Let them remind you just how amazing you are.
6. Listen to this video as many time as you need
Signs that you need to increase your Self-Love & Self-Acceptance levels:
Whenever you find yourself tired, drained, trying to keep up with things, fit in, blend in, be more at peace with yourself, or even hating your body, you are using vital life force that you could use for other more important things in life.
The Importance of Self-Love and Self-Acceptance
“Growth begins when we start accepting ourselves” -Jean Vanier
We usually set standards that are too high for ourselves because the society expects us to be perfect. We tend to forget that everyone has flaws including the people we perceive to be perfect.

During times of high stress, people may struggle to balance their mind and body and find their place in the universe. Your energy affects everything around you, and your mindset can definitely affect your environment and the people within it. If you are feeling closed off from the world, your seventh chakra, or crown chakra, may be off-balance. A balanced crown chakra gives wisdom and self-awareness, allowing one to feel connected to others as part of the universe. The seven chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown) all play an important role in the balance of your mind, body and spirit. Learning about the chakras can help you check in with yourself to become more in-tune with your needs. After the first six chakras have been balanced, you can meditate on the seventh chakra for full alignment.
The seventh chakra is called the crown chakra which gives off consciousness energy. This energy connects our inner mind to the universe. It is located at the top of the head, right above the third eye chakra. The crown chakra is associated with wisdom and a sense of understanding about the universe. By seeing yourself as part of the universe, you can let go of the stress of the material world and focus on things that matter.

What Is Niche Marketing?
Niche marketing is an advertising strategy that focuses on a unique target market. Instead of marketing to everyone who could benefit from a product or service, this strategy focuses exclusively on one group—a niche market—or demographic of potential customers who would most benefit from the offerings.
The benefit of niche marketing is that it allows brands to differentiate themselves, appear as a unique authority, and resonate more deeply with a distinct set of customers. Rather than blend in with the many other brands that offer the same type of product or service, a brand can use niche marketing to stand out, appear more valuable, reach its growth potential, and build a stronger, longer-lasting connection with its ideal audience.
A niche market could stand apart from others because of:
* Geographic area
* Activity or habits
* Feature reduction or addition
Enjoy creating your niche marketing video content.

This past February, I had the pleasure to witness the original cast performance of Alanis Morissette’s new Broadway musical, Jagged Little Pill. My urge to write this post is not to solely state my gratitude to see this show prior to its temporary closing or to honor the beauty in its storyline, based around feminism, women's rights, LGBTQIA+, mental health, and drug addiction, but to discuss the beauty that the ensemble cast brought to the stage, particularly the solo dance motifs.
As a musician, dancer, and Registered- Dance/Movement Therapist, the artistic direction was one to remember. Yes, the tears I spoke of earlier were caused by the acting and the struggles those actors portrayed. However, the greatest emotional response I experienced was witnessing the solo dancers move through the emotional and mental monologue of each cast member. One moment in particular was the side by side vocal expression of Mary Jane Healy, played by actress and singer Elizabeth Stanley, and the non-verbal movement expression portraying her internal monologue, performed by Heather Lang. Within the last 30 minutes of the show, I heard Elizabeth Stanley wear her character's heart and whole self on her sleeve, singing “Uninvited”. As I listened to the beauty in her song, I could not peel my eyes off the gorgeous dancer beside her; drenched in pain, internal turmoil, confusion, frustration, and hopelessness. The expression through movement held so much more weight (for me) than the actual music. In one aspect I could hear her pain, but in the other I could feel it.
In my work as a dance/movement therapist, I am often presented with the gift to witness and share space with an individual. Dance/movement therapy brings that second, somewhat deeper level to an emotion. We all can talk about our struggles, and hope both ourselves and the listener can grasp the truth behind our words, but when we physically move, our mind and bodies have a secondary connection. When embodying an emotion we experience that emotion differently. This is both true for the individual, and for their witness. Why I believe this movement motif affected me so strongly was because it was not a simple mirror in movement (think- looking into a mirror and having someone follow your exact patterns) or a mirror in language. The magic with this type of mirrored expression was that the movement mirrored her words. Mary Jane’s verbal expression was transformed into a visual dynamic that offered the audience a much stronger connection to the character's internal monologue. I hope that this show opens our eyes to the many struggles we face daily, and helps everyone to not only feel heard, but to be seen.
The Sacral Chakra Houses Creativity, Relationships, and Sexuality
Being creative in nature, the sacral chakra’s main focus is allowing the individual to discover what they enjoy, to form hobbies, create loving and exciting relationships, and even creativity in lovemaking and sexual eroticism.
The second chakra is centered on personal identity or personal play in the external world and how it responds to the seductive forces of the physical world. Therefore, if the second chakra is unbalanced, it can lead to addictions of drugs, sex, gambling and money.
The Svadhisthana is the foundation of a healthy ego that allows us to interact with the world without selling ourselves short or pretending to be someone we are not. A person with a strong second chakra can survive financially and physically on his or her own and bond with others to form harmonious friendships. A balanced second chakra has the ability to take risks and have the resilience to recover when things go wrong.
But if the first chakra is already out of balance with lack of root support, how are you supposed to learn how to form harmonious friendships, relationships and healthy physical interests later in life?
If you need to balance your root chakra see our previous video, otherwise follow this guided meditation to awaken and balance your second chakra
The Root Chakra is foundational. When all is well with this chakra, you’ll feel secure, calm and anchored in reality. You’ll be bold enough to tackle new challenges, and you’ll feel confident doing so. This makes a properly aligned Root Chakra vital whenever you’re trying something new or pursuing a major life goal.
Root Chakra Information Summary
Physical Location: The bottom of your spine (where your tailbone is located).
Associated Animal: Elephant.
Emotional Issues and Behaviors of Blocked Root Chakra: If your Chakra is blocked you may feel threatened, panicked or anxious. This anxiety can easily infiltrate your thoughts, making everything suddenly feel uncertain. You may also find that you can’t concentrate and that you’re constantly preoccupied with worries about your well-being. In some people, this can manifest as hypochondria or general paranoia. Physical issues potentially caused by a blocked Root Chakra include a sore lower back, low energy levels, and cold extremities.
I invite you to balance and activate your root chakra with this Guided Meditation, Namaste. Gabi
Walking meditation provides many of the same benefits as sitting meditation like increasing mental clarity, stress reduction, lowering anxiety and blood pressure, and immune system support.
Here Are 3 Types of Walking Meditation:
There are many different types of walking meditation. Here are four unique and easy-to-follow options to give you a well-rounded scope for your practice. It’s time to get outside!
1. Traditional Walking Meditation
Traditional walking meditation requires you to walk back and forth, along the same path, giving your mind the single-pointed focus of each individual step. This style of walking meditation makes it easier to keep the mind focused by eliminating the distractions you are likely to experience on a normal walk. Experiment using labeling techniques to help maintain your focus.
These labels are generally descriptive of the action like “stepping, stepping, stepping” or “lifting foot, moving foot, putting foot down.”
2. Mindful Observation
Another option is mindful observation. Beginning with how your body feels, you shift your attention through a series of focus points, checking in with what you are experiencing as you go.
Begin with how it feels to be in your body. Notice different sensations. Check in with what you are experiencing. Focus on the texture and consistency of your breath. Feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair.
This mindfulness practice will help keep you focused and present by establishing a mind/body connection.
4. Mantra Meditation
You can also use a mantra to maintain your focus, control your breath, and keep your mind clear of wandering thoughts.
A mantra is a word or phrase said repeatedly during a meditation. It could be as simple as saying to yourself, “Inhale” as you breathe in, and “exhale” as you breathe out.
Some find it calming to count with the breath, giving your mind something to focus on. Others say the word they are trying to create more in their life: peace, love, compassion, abundance. SO HUM is a popular mantra easy to remember. It means “I Am That.”
Walking Meditation – The Takeaway
The key to any successful walking meditation is to choose a focus and then keep your attention centered on that focus while experiencing the various stimuli surrounding you. Walking meditation provides a link between you and the outside world.
As your practice deepens, it will strengthen your ability to tap into that inner calm at any time throughout your day, taking your meditation with you wherever you may go. Namaste. Gabi

Bringing abundance into your life is more than a game of chance—it’s about creating the life you want.
There shouldn’t be a gap between the abundance of Nature and the lack that many people feel in their lives. When you say, “I don’t have enough time” or “There’s never enough money,” you have found yourself in that gap, because there is no denying that time is infinite and that wealth can be endlessly created. Why don’t you have your share?
Especially now, when the economy has brought financial lack to those who can least afford it, anxiety about loss of income has replaced the sense of abundance and fulfillment.
The greatest enemy of abundance is contraction. When you find yourself in a tight situation, feeling that there is no way out, drawing a blank when you try to think of new solutions, or carrying around a heavy burden, these are signs of contraction—in mind, body, and spirit.
Expansion is the great friend of abundance. It brings in the light, opening up new possibilities. In a relaxed, open state, your awareness sees farther and life isn’t so confined.
How can you expand your awareness? To begin with, set aside time every day for peace and quiet. The brain has a natural mechanism for resetting itself and getting back into balance. Give this mechanism a chance. Being under pressure, putting up with noise and stress, and never stopping to relax are counter-productive actions. Go into a quiet place and sit with your eyes closed at least two times a day, for a few minutes. Let yourself become centered again, and practice meditation.
And if doing it on your own, is too difficult, I invite you to follow along with this guided meditation

Every new day is an opportunity to dig deeper into the intention and meaning behind how we live, what we say, what we do, and how we interact with others in this world.
Welcome to today’s practice I am Gabi Johnson, and I invite you to a “Namaste guided meditation” to connect with yourself and connect with your heart
Namasté is more than a word used to end a yoga session. With respect and reverence, Namasté is a way to see and honor the reality of others.
Breath in love exhale compassion and, repeat to yourself…
Just like me everyone is seeking happiness, may we all find the happiness we are seeking
Just like me everyone is protecting themself from suffering, may we all be brave and strong enough to make space for our suffering
Just like me everyone has known sadness, may we all experience love and joy to balance the sadness
Just Like me everyone are doing the best they can, may we all offer compassion to ourselves and others
