Memorial Day has come to mean the beginning of summer, a time for picnics and barbecues, and a holiday to gather around the family. That happiness and freedom, however, is a product of the real cause for the holiday: the sacrifice made by men and women who have fought and died for the freedoms and liberties Americans hold dear. Memorial Day is a time to remember that the American way of life is not cheap but rather has been purchased by the lives and blood of so many who have sacrificed for us to live free and happily now.

~ Where we gather today ‘neath “The Stars,”
Let’s honor the living now wearing the scars
Which they brought from the fields of battle and strife,
While protecting “Our Flag” and our Nation’s life.
Lets the flowers bear tribute in their simple way.
And each on remember Memorial Day;

~ Frederick W. Emerson (Memorial Day)

Your mind is so powerful – you cannot even imagine that! It is extremely powerful and can really do wonders and reprogram your subconscious mind. But what is more, your mind remains quite flexible throughout your whole life – and that is fantastic.

You might have had questions about two categories of people: one of them manage to achieve success in whatever they start working on, while others tend to fail more frequently than others. Why is it so? What leads both of them to be either on the winners’ or the losers’ side?

The answer is simple: their mindset.

Start with this short meditation and visualization video and practice as often as you can and see the change taking place,

The worth and meaning of a gift do not come from the size of the box, its monetary value, or even the ribbon that adorns it. Its meaning comes from how it makes you feel inside as the recipient and as the giver. The greatest gifts are not boxes filled with things, but beautiful presents that hold so much more: love, kindness, selflessness, and gratitude. They all make up the beautiful gift of life. Enjoy this short meditation for being grateful for the gift of life! Namaste.

As I was flossing my teeth, it occurred to me how powerful the mouth is and how little notice or care (not physical but emotional care) we give to it. One can use the tongue to destroy in disastrous ways or one can use the tongue to build up, to create, to love. Power of life and death is in the tongue. They say the tongue is like a deathly sword that can cut to sunders. Let us consider today how we speak to each other. A soft answer turns away wrath. What are you using your power for, how are you edifying your children, your love ones, those you associate with? Let’s use our power for good today, let’s lift someone with our words and bring light to those we are around.

There’s nothing that says peak fall quite like wrapping your hands around a steaming latte and snuggling into your favorite hoodie. The quickest way to bring that dreamy image back to reality? (Insert record scratch noise.) Realizing said latte is actually loaded with sugar.

But don’t swear off fun, seasonal drinks just yet. We found a hack that’ll let you have your hygge-inspired beverages, and actually drink them, too. Vital Proteins new Collagen Creamer is the alt-milk powder of your wellness-ified dreams—and, you guessed it—it’s got next to no sugar (just one gram per serving).

Instead of the sweet stuff, the powdered creamer is loaded with creamy organic coconut milk and grass-fed, pasture-raised collagen, so you’re supercharging your morning coffee without having to pull 12 different containers out of your pantry every time you want to make a cup.

In the official FitFabWell taste test, the Mocha flavor came out on top, especially because you can turn any old cup of joe into a fancy mocha latte with just two scoops of Collagen Creamer and a few spices.

Mexican Mocha Latte

Ingredients

8 oz. hot coffee
2 scoops Vital Proteins Mocha Collagen Creamer
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cayenne pepper

1. Add all dry ingredients to a mug of hot coffee, and blend using a handheld milk frother.

2. Sprinkle on extra cinnamon, nutmeg, or cayenne pepper if you like it extra spicy!

Since Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are here, and Christmas is right around the corner, it’s a great time of year to reflect on our lives and practice gratitude. The holidays remind me about the importance of being with family and friends and creating memories that last a lifetime.

Here are a few quotes from some of my favorites philosophers and writers that help me focus on the art of #gratefulness, #giving and #inspiring

No one has ever become poor by giving. ~ Anne Frank

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~ Winston Churchill

You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. ~ Khalil Gibran

I find myself getting caught up in the busyness of life and the endless feeling that there is more work to do. However, this weekend I spent some time writing down a list of 10 things I’m grateful for and it’s something I plan on doing more often. I encourage you to practice this as well. It reminds me of the abundance in my life, and why it’s so important to invest in relationships. You could even start a gratitude journal as a way to cultivate positivity in your life, or just visit me often on this channel and watch our short "Grateful" videos.

How exciting is it that you’ve experience everything that happened to you in 2018; not only do you have Ammunition for 2019, but you will be able to help someone else that may be struggling to make it in the New Year. It’s going to be a great year...are you ready to help someone get through it in 2019? Think about, and let’s make 2019 a year helping others.

Five reasons the best is yet to come:
1). You woke up this morning.
2). You are determined.
3). You thought it.
4). You said it.
5). You believe it.

The best is yet to come and if you continue to wake up each day determined, speaking, and believing that mantra; I believe the way you perceive someone or something will change. It only takes 21 days to form a habit. Try speaking and believing the best is yet to come; you’ll be glad you did.
